Practitioners: Deb Vincent Evans, MS, LMT

Deb Vincent Evans, MS, LMT

Deb Vincent Evans, MS, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Deb believes herself to be truly privileged to have come to massage therapy as a profession.

Focusing on outcome-based therapeutic massage, she brings years of experience as an educator to her practice, working with her clients to assess their needs, developing realistic therapeutic goals together and then designing an appropriate treatment plan to meet their individual needs.

Her sessions are highly individualized and include a variety of techniques including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, acupressure points (from her training in Shiatsu or Japanese acupressure massage) as well as traditional Swedish massage.  She specializes in pain management, particularly for folks with chronic pain conditions and headaches, as well as rehabilitative work; and has successfully treated clients from age 9 to 90 with concerns including sports, orthopedic and motor vehicle accident-related injuries and issues, cancer, fibromyalgia, migraines, and pregnancy as well as stress and anxiety-related issues and disorders.

A self-professed massage “nerd,” she views every session as an opportunity to learn and to educate her clients on how to improve their own health and wellness, and is fascinated by the human body and the human condition.  A life-long learner, she enjoys researching new techniques and health issues.  She truly loves coming to work every day and having the opportunity to make a very real difference in her clients’ lives.

As a graduate of the Center For Natural Wellness in Albany, NY, and the College of St. Rose, Deb has worked in a busy chiropractic clinic, several local spas and wellness centers, and has provided massage therapy at numerous equestrian and sports events including the Iron Man Triathlon, as well as The Hospice Inn and St Peters Hospital.

As part of her ongoing efforts to meet client needs, Deb has developed a specialized “Riders Massage©” for equestrians and Acuball treatments (www.acuball.com) including clear self-care treatment plans for her clients to use at home.  From her own research and desire to provide her clients with long lasting benefits that they can recreate on their own to better manage and heal their pain, Deb has developed a specific, proprietary massage treatment based on Dr. Herbert Benson’s research on the relaxation response at Harvard Medical School http://www.relaxationresponse.org).  Her clients are finding these sessions to be highly effective in helping to resolve pain issues both on the table and as a tool for managing and overcoming chronic pain on their own long after the session is over.

When not in a massage session, Deb can be found home with her kids or with her horses.   Deb also accepts NYS No Fault insurance clients.
